The Boston 401s(k)aters will honor the memory of Chief Naval Special Warfare Operator Michael T. Ernst (SEAL), a Cohasset native who died in a parachuting training accident on February 19, 2023. Mike was a highly decorated Navy SEAL, who received many commendations including a Silver Star for valor in combat. Mike had a lifelong love for the game of hockey, playing for Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA, and skating for many years in the Warrior for Life Fund hockey program in Virginia Beach, VA.  

The Mike Ernst Memorial game will benefit the Warrior for Life Fund, which focuses support to active duty, veterans, and their families through sport and community as they navigate the unique challenges of combat deployments and life after service. The WFLF provides a persistent presence of fellowship, fitness, and mental/cognitive health improvement that has lasting impact to our members.

The Warrior for Life Fund will donate a portion of funds raised to Ernst Family Scholarship.
