On January 20th, 2024, I will suit up against the Boston Bruins Alumni team, in honor of Chief Naval Special Warfare Operator Michael T. Ernst (SEAL), to benefit the Warrior for Life Fund. Ernie was a teammate of mine in high school and when I think about him, he embodies everything I want my kids to be; driven, respectful, kind, coachable, leader.... the list goes on. I want to help support a great cause and continue his legacy for his family - who are also some of the NICEST people you would have the honor of knowing. Let's make this a great turnout!

The Boston 401s(k)aters will honor the memory of Mike, a Cohasset native who died in a parachuting training accident on February 19, 2023. He was a highly decorated Navy SEAL, who received many commendations, including a Silver Star for valor in combat. He had a lifelong love for the game of hockey, playing for Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA, and skating for many years in the Warrior for Life Fund hockey program in Virginia Beach, VA. The Mike Ernst Memorial game will benefit the Warrior for Life Fund, which focuses support to active duty, veterans, and their families through sport and community as they navigate the unique challenges of combat deployments and life after service. The WFLF provides a persistent presence of fellowship, fitness, and mental/cognitive health improvement that has lasting impact to our members.

 The Warrior for Life Fund will donate a portion of funds raised to the Ernst Family Scholarship Fund.

The Boston Bruins Alumni Association's primary purpose is to raise funds and to donate these funds to charitable causes.
